Tax advice to Baltic TransOil 13 July
Varul Vilgerts Smaliukas Riga office provides ongoing advice to one of the major transport companies in Latvia.
Lately we have obtained a positive advance ruling from the Latvian tax authorities concerning the application of VAT to the company's business (rent of assets in Russia and CIS countries). The ruling had an impact on all major business transactions made by the company.
Also, we advised the company on tax efficient repatriation of profits from EU and offshore holdings' to the beneficial owners in Latvia.
