Associate Martynas Kalvelis attended the initial meeting of Legal Advisory Panel (LAP) of the European Club Association (ECA) which took place on 11 April at Nyon, Switzerland. The agenda of the meeting included priorities, functions and aims of LAP and the overview of the recent FIFA DRC (Dispute Resolution Chamber) and Court of Arbitration for Sports jurisprudence.
Martynas Kalvelis, a representative of Lithuanian based football club "Ekranas" (city of Panevėžys), was appointed as LAP member in October, 2010. LAP consists of 20 representatives of various European football clubs (including Real Madrid FC, FC Barcelona, Sevilla FC, Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur FC, AFC Ajax, FC Internazionale Milano, AC Milan, Galatasaray SK). The main functions of LAP are mediation, development of a united position of the clubs and the representation of the clubs’ interests.
