Three Baltic Law Firms merge to create Varul Vilgerts Smaliukas Dec 07, 2009
We are pleased to announce that as of 7th December 2009 the business law firms “Smaliukas, Juodka, Beniusis & Partners” in Lithuania, “Paul Varul” in Estonia and “Vilgerts” in Latvia will merge their operations and continue operating under the name Varul Vilgerts Smaliukas.
“Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have become home markets to an increasing number of businesses. Therefore it is vital to be able to offer quality legal services across all the Baltic States” says Paul Varul, the founding partner of the Estonian office.
Robert Juodka, managing partner of the Lithuanian office commented that law is predominantly national but our clients’ businesses are not. “We are creating a strong pan-Baltic partnership with a regional quality mark” says he.

Varul Vilgerts Smaliukas with offices in Tallinn, Tartu, Riga and Vilnius will be employing a total of around 60 lawyers.
