The firm's insolvency, corporate and tax law practitioners partners Paul Varul, Ants Mailend, Helmut Pikmets, senior associates Leonid Tolstov, Tarmo Peterson, Martin Tamme, Kristina Vind and associate Marko Kairjak held a series of seminars on recent developments in insolvency law to the in-house legal team at Swedbank in Tallinn, Estonia.
The seminars gave an overview of recent amendments to the Bankruptcy
Act and Reorganisation Act as well as discussing the details of
insolvency for private individuals, the role of the bailsman in a
bankruptcy proceeding, the protection of creditors' interests during
takeovers and also in criminal proceedings, relevant problems in
enforcement procedure and tax issues concerning the reorganisation of
business.
