Edgars Koskins’ major specialization is in tax law. Edgars has considerable  experience in solving disputes with the State Revenue Service both with out-of-court settlements and through litigation. At the end of 2009, Edgars conducted a project as a result of which a constitutional claim was drafted and filed with the Latvian Constitutional Court.

With considerable experience of cross-border transactions, Edgars offers tax planning for cross-border payments – dividends, interest and royalties and in optimization of capital gains’ positions. Edgars is also knowledgeable on foreign holding regimes like Cyprus, Sweden and the Netherlands, and familiar with the potential for tax planning schemes in offshore jurisdictions.

Edgars has advised various international gambling businesses on setting up, licensing and advertising gambling operations in Latvia.

In addition to his tax and gambling law expertise, Edgars is a knowledgeable practitioner of commercial law, the law of debt collection and insolvency, as well as other business law related areas.
