Gints Vilgerts has earned his outstanding reputation working on a variety of high-profile M&A transactions representing buyers, sellers, and targets, as well as on leveraged buyout transactions. Gints’ clients include domestic and international corporations and investment funds from a variety of sectors — banking, consumer finance, shipping and transport, real estate & construction, waste management, professional services, energy, insurance, media, IT and telecommunications.

Gints Vilgerts has vast experience in assisting both sides in M&A transactions, including working with minority shareholders and management in the leveraged buyout of BAO, LMT’s acquisition of DT Mobile, Lassila Tikkanoja’s acquisition of Hoetika ATU, the acquisition of Radio SWH by Communicorp Communications, the sale of Arēna Rīga to private investors, the purchase of RD Līzinga Grupa by General Electric Capital Corporation, as well as the acquisition of a majority stake in the Baltic Investment Company by KBC Securities.

In the real estate and development sector, Gints Vilgerts has worked on the following projects: L&R’s acquisition of a shopping mall in Russia, Merks’ project at Arēna Rīga, and the Zaķusala estate development.
