Energy & Natural Resources
The importance of the energy sector has been constantly on the rise, partly due to the need to incorporate respective EU regulations into national legislations and partly due to technological innovations taking place in the energy sector itself. For instance the proportion of wind energy has significantly increased at the energy market and according to energy-related action plans in recent years the proportion of renewable energy is expected to multiply.
Our energy practice is distinguished by its substantive scope and depth. We offer our clients a comprehensive service in both the traditional energy sectors as well as in new energy sectors such as renewable energy. Our firm provides business-oriented advice on legal matters related to project structuring and development, financing, government regulation, construction and other contract issues, mergers and acquisitions and PPP/PFI projects in the field. We offer innovative solutions that help clients finance and develop projects, in addition to advising on regulatory developments that can prove critical to a project’s success. Our clients include governments, private and listed companies.
Our expertise extends from practice to legislation — we have actively participated in the development and drafting of energy-related regulations.
