PPP/PFI
The market in project finance and public private partnership (PPP) projects in the Baltics is still in early stages of development. Nevertheless our PPP/PFI practice group already has experience in this practice area.
Our team has advised both public and private partners as well as lenders in project finance and PPP projects in various fields, including health care projects, waste and water management projects, infrastructure projects and education-related projects.
We assist our clients with project structuring, organizing public procurement procedures, drafting project contracts and analysing collateral structures.
The team can also call on attorneys specialised in public procurement, litigation, construction, investment protection and finance areas. As a result, we are able to provide well-coordinated assistance to clients from both the private and public sectors on all legal aspects relating to the structuring, financing, construction and/or operation of PPP and PFI projects, as well as to concessions.

- Assisting the Latvian Ministry of Environment in preparing international concession tender documentation, including a draft concession agreement, for the operation of a hazardous waste landfill site in Zebrene for 20 years.
- Providing opinion to the Ministry of Transport and Latvian State Roads (VAS), the state road network management company, regarding the award of a DBFO contract for the first road PPP project in Latvia, that has an investment value of over EUR 100 million.
