Earlier this year we updated our Clients and Friends on the different types of cooperation between competitors that is available during these times of economic crisis (see article “Cartels in Latvia during crisis” by Debora Pavila and article “Credit history information exchange between competitors” by Julija Jerneva).

In August 2009 the Latvian Competition Council also decided to address the issue and published a press release, whereby it announced its support to cooperation between competitors, where such cooperation meets the criterion of lawfulness, as established in the Competition Law.

This publication will aim at shortly describing the available cooperation between competitors, as well at outlining the main legal risks associated with entering into these types of cooperation agreements.
